Star Plus’ popular show produced by Deepa Shahi and Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa recently took a leap, and the upcoming episodes promise even more drama with a new entry. The makers have cast Sejal Shah in a pivotal role.
Sejal will portray Janaki Ben, a traditional, no-nonsense Gujarati woman who becomes a strong supporter of Anupamaa. As the show unfolds, Anupamaa now lives with the Shah family, where tensions run high. Kinjal, who once backed Anupamaa, has grown distant and treats her harshly. Despite this, Anupamaa remains hopeful about reuniting with Anuj and their daughter, Adhya. Meanwhile, Adhya, now named Rahi, lives in an orphanage in Dwarka and works as a tour guide to support the children there, harbouring resentment toward her mother.
